The Role

This is an opportunity that can’t be compared against other local vacancies. At Ascension you’re given the creative freedom to run and manage your desk / department as you see most appropriate – results dependent. This means you won’t be pigeonholed by sector, discipline, locality, and salary banding or job seniority.

If you can provide a financially feasible proposition about any industry or sector that you are truly passionate about, and have the knowledge to back it up then we’ll want to invest in YOU.

The day to day duties will consist of the 360 degree recruitment cycles, from understanding your client’s requirements, building relationships, sourcing candidates and aiding their search.

The Fit / Requirements

You will be someone with at least 2 years Recruitment experience that you have spent in an agency or even in a Business Development role within a recruitment setting, it`s a non-negotiable. If you have resourcing experience, that could be no harm either.

Realistically, we need you to have a few years’ experience of working in a targeted environment under your belt, otherwise we would not be setting you up to succeed. If you have done a stint in an internal recruitment role or have knowledge of RPO settings, all the better, you’ll know the pain points and the jargon of your clients! Wheels aren’t essential for opening however having a full UK driver’s license will be beneficial.

Outside of the above – a big personality and the ability to communicate your passion for a specific sector will put you in great stead.

The Role:

This role will give you creative freedom over each project; you’ll be responsible or organising, scripting, directing and producing each video from concept through completion. Initial projects will include an ‘about us’ with core values and mission statements with a view to create a series of short videos as ‘job advertisements’ You will need experience or feel comfortable editing and overlaying videos to create a corporate effect.

The Fit

This position will fit someone who is looking to add to or develop their portfolio of corporate clients. An amazing opportunity for a university student, recent graduate or freelance specialist. Whilst this is not a paid position we remain open minded and all proposals will be considered. The content will remain Intellectual Property free and will be freely available for you to use as your own case study, testimonial or promotional material.

The role is very open at this stage. All of our Marketing efforts are currently managed in house and we’re looking to free up some time AND increase performance by outsourcing. This means as the Marketing Manager you’ll have creative freedom to convey and deliver our brand messages as you see fit.

The duties are extremely varied and sit across multiple platforms which means even if you aren’t comfortable with all of the channels, it may still be worth submitting a proposition.

    The Role

    Because of the success Oli has had during his first year’s employment with us we’re on the lookout for his replacement. He’s passed his apprenticeship and is soon to become a full Recruitment Consultant. This means he’ll leave a void in the business which will hopefully be filled by you!

    As the apprentice your duties will be extremely varied, your day to day tasks will be reactive and you will support the existing team across all departments. This means everything from CRM administration through candidate screening to compliance checks and rounds of tea will be under your control! Our plan after a year would be to promote you internally to Resourcer or Recruitment Consultant and create an organic career ladder internally.

    The Fit

    There are very few formal qualifications required to be eligible for this position however confidence and clear communication skills are dead set essential to be a successful consultant. We’re hiring on attitude not previous experience so personality and attitude could be enough to get you the job!

    It will help if you are from a sporting background or have some experience in any competitive environment such as – being top of your class in school!
